what we offer
At Bhaktivedanta College, we teach yoga to support physical endurance, to still the mind, and to overcome our lower self to yield inner strength and intensify the quest to find our true self.
Under the guidance of our experienced teachers, the physical practices, regulated breath, and exploration of yoga philosophy, combined with powerful and transformative techniques of meditation and sacred sound, we aim to bring about a genuine transformation.
Why?
To give you an opportunity to learn, practice and teach traditional yoga knowledge, skills, and values and to experience the extraordinary benefits of the yogic way of life
Study with us and get certified on RYT 200, 300, or 500 hours levels!
If you wish to go all the way to the RYT 500 level, you have two options
1. You have already completed an RYT 200-hour training with us. Now you can complement your studies by doing another 300 hours with us, combining 200 hour + 100 hour trainings.
2. You have already completed an RYT 200 hour training elsewhere. In that case, you may qualify to complement your studies with a 200 hour + 100 hour training, consisting of two separate parts.
We don’t currently offer a continuous 500 hour training in one go, since it is difficult for most people to find 2.5 months away from home. It is also more meaningful that after completing your first 200-hour training, you start teaching and gaining practical experience.
If you are interested in completing 500 hours, in one of the ways mentioned above, ask for a private call where we assess your background and competence, and try to find the most suitable solution for you.
Where we are located
Bhaktivedanta College is situated in the verdant Ardennes region. One of Belgium’s most attractive and popular holiday areas, and just an hour’s drive south-east of the nation’s capital, Brussels.
The College campus lies adjacent to the picturesque Radhadesh Chateau de Petite Somme, home to a thriving ISKCON community of bhakti yogis.
It houses a gorgeous Radha-Krishna shrine, renowned for its high puja (worship) and kirtan (musical meditation) standards.
The castle also offers other facilities, such as the Museum of Sacred Art, a vegetarian restaurant and cafeteria, a retreat center, an exotic boutique, a promenade trail on the wooded estate, and a traditional bakery.
Radhadesh is a vibrant community where many retreats, courses, and cultural festivals are held. With its scenic, secluded environment, the campus is ideal for study, research, meditation, and reflection.
Conduct
The uniqueness of our venue depends on the contribution of each resident, no matter how long or short they reside on its premises. To leave a positive imprint, both on a physical and energetic level, all of us are expected to follow the basic house rules. These guidelines prohibit the consumption of non-vegetarian foodstuffs and intoxicants (alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, etc.) and frivolous behavior on the premises. Thank you for contributing to the venue’s purity and its ability to host truly transformative learning experiences.
Food
Even our food vibrates with the rhythm of yoga philosophy!
The Bhagavad Gita, a yogic text, describes which food is in the mode of goodness (sattva) and how it should be prepared and honored. Food prepared in such a way not only nurtures the body, but also elevates the consciousness.
